Sammy Rangel is the Executive Director, Co-Founder of Life After Hate.
Growing up, Sammy spent most of his early years in mental institutions, foster homes, and detention homes. He embraced violence at the age of 11, joining the Maniac Latin Disciples gang and spent long periods in prison.
It wasn’t until he had an encounter with someone who really understood him that he had a change of heart.
Sammy and I will talk about what was really at the center of his transformation. How did he go from using violence as a protective mechanism to helping others come out from lives of hate?
